A B1/B2 Visa is a non-immigrant visa issued to persons who want to enter the United States temporarily for business (B-1) or for tourism (B-2).
Business (B1): Consult with business associates, attend conventions or conferences, settle an estate, negotiate a contract.
Tourism (B2): Tourism, vacation, visit friends or family, medical treatment, participate in social events, amateur musical/sports events, short recreational courses not for credit.
During customs clearance at your destination, the length of stay will be determined by the US Customs and Border Protection staff. You can travel to the US within the expiration date of your non-immigrant visa. Your visa may expire during your stay, but please do not stay longer than the period granted to you on your I-94.
You will be allowed to arrive in the United States by the last day of the expiration date shown on your visa. Customs and Border Protection officials will determine the length of your stay upon arrival.
You don't have to wait for your current visa to expire. You can apply for a new visa even if your current visa is valid.

The K-1 Visa permits a U.S. Citizen to bring their fiancé to America for 90 days, during which time they must get married. If they do not get married within 90 days, the fiancé must return to their home country.
US Citizens can sponsor: spouse, unmarried children under 21, parents (if 21+), unmarried sons/daughters (21+), married sons/daughters, and siblings (if 21+).

Generally, citizens of a foreign country who wish to study in the United States must first obtain a Student Visa. Your course of study and the type of school determines whether you need an F visa or an M visa. You must be accepted to a SEVP-approved school in the United States.
You must have a valid travel document (passport), be in good health, have no criminal convictions, convince an immigration officer you have ties to your home country, will leave Canada at the end of your visit, and have enough money for your stay. Most visitors can remain for up to 6 months.
